Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

I'm Dr. Jessica López. I completed my specialty in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana (Cuba) and my degree is accredited by Mexico's SEP. As a professor at Anáhuac University Cancún I train other professionals — and I guide my patients through every step, with one clear principle: to treat only what is truly needed.

Wisdom teeth, straight answers

During surgery the goal is that you feel no pain: it's done under anesthesia. You may feel pressure or movement, but not pain. Any discomfort afterward is temporary and managed with your instructions and medication.

When there's recurring pain or infection, decay, cysts, damage to the neighboring tooth, or they're impacted and causing problems. Not all are removed: if healthy and well-positioned, they're often just monitored. An X-ray assessment defines your case.

The cost depends on the complexity of each case. At your X-ray assessment I give you a clear quote, with no surprises.

Swelling usually peaks in the first 48 to 72 hours and eases within a few days. Most people return to their routine soon; each case varies and you'll get clear step-by-step instructions.
